Help Me Decide - HP ZE4805 or Emachines M2352

If I upgrade the HP to 512M ram which would be the prefered machine? What are the pros and cons of each? Are the Emachines specs much better? The Emachines will cost more and I'm not sure If I like the wide screen. Is the wide screen something that grows on you?
Thanks!

They look pretty much the same to me. If you upgrade the hp ram to 512, all you have to decide is whether you want the widescreen. I don't have a widescreen but in the stores and everything I like the widescreens.

I prefer widescreen.

15" 1024x768 is gonna have a hell of a screendoor

Once you work and/or game on a good widecreen, it's very tough to go back to standard 4:3 screens.

Doing some calculations I come up with:
1024 x 768 / 15.0 = 52428.8 pixels per inch. HP
1280 x 800 / 15.4 = 66493.5 pixels per inch. Emachines

Are these legitimate numbers? Does this indicate more pixles on the Emachines display?

Shaky Mathematics

No, that math isn't quite right since the measurements of monitor dimensions are made diagonally. What you are really looking for is measurement per square inch. Since the screens have different aspect ratios, you need to go back and find the actual area of the screen (horizontally and vertically) and then divide the total number of pixels by that. It's all pretty simply geometry if you're willing to take the time to do it. I am not.

Good point. I knew I was missing something. Come to think of it, .4 inches diagonal isn't that much larger.
