Ok, obviously the laptop market is pretty stocked with nice Widescreen Monitors, but what about us Desktop users?

I want to find a nice Widescreen Desktop LCD, but have since been unable to finad anything, other than Apple's Cinema HD's , which is what I will be getting unless somebody here can help me find an alternative!

I'm looking in the 19" + Range... Price Range... Need to keep it under or around $1500... Any Ideas?

Would be awsome, if it wasn't 40ms...

HP has a 23" WUXGA widescreen for about $1600. It's in the HP Business section. It's got 16ms.

I've been strongly considering it, too. I've been addicted to widescreens since my long-gone 8600 notebook. I'd feel better about pulling the trigger on that HP if I could find some reviews.

Couldn't justify the additional $200 for a marginal performance increase over the 3800+ ... that gives me the additional $200 to play with for Professional level sound cards or more RAM!

*edit* Now I'm wondering .... if I should go with the FX-53..... or not....

rofl, what's 200 after u just spend 1600+ on just a screen =P, plus dont get me wrong the 3800+ rips, but it lacks the FX53 cache

What's $200?! well... $200 more to spend one something else...
I got lucky as all hell this past week between backed paid jobs paying me (some after waiting over 6 months!) Game accounts selling for the big $$ ...
(basically it's a sick world when a Star Wars Galaxies account can buy me a 23" monitor!) and various other things....

I decided not to sell my system, rather take the $$ I've recently aquired, and make my box ROCK!

Everything I've read shows a 3800+ will perform on par or better than a FX53.... The lack of the 512k, nobody knows if that makes a difference... if so, it's estimated 6%, but it's possible to OC the 3800+ to compensate for it

So, I think I'll run with the 3800+ and see what happens.
And to me and since 90% of my income is derived from this computer, it's worth it to have my money invested in making it better!!

I want to do Water Cooling, but my lack of knowledge on it is stopping me...
I don't even know where to begin, and what would work...

I will in response to the selling my system thing...
Be selling:
AMD 2800+
Kingston DDR400 Ram 512x2
and
Abit KV8 MB

Selling those to possibly recouperate some of the $$ spent.

I ordered mine from HP.com's Small Business Store. $1599.00 including free shipping and 30-day return policy with free return shipping, too!!! If I like it, and I can't see how I wouldn't unless it's riddled with dead pixels, I'll eBay my Dell 2001FP. HP.com has a 23" widescreen in the Home section, but it's $1999 after some discounts. It's also got side-mounted speakers, which I didn't want and just add more size to the monitor.
