If you have two hard drives and the combo drive in your 8886, what IDE channels are they each on? The main hard drive is obviously the primary master, but what about the others? And, is it possible to switch which channel they are on from inside the BIOS? I ask because Photoshop likes it when you set its scratchpad and the Windows swap file on two separate HD's, preferably on different channels. Also, if both hard drives were the masters of their separate channels, someone could try the software RAID that is included in Win2000 (maybe XP too, not sure), and see how much it affects performance.

lol, I will have time to answer more of your question later, but I can tell you the channels right now.
The primary master is the IBM drive. The Secondary master is the combo, and the secondary slave is the toshiba drive.
I don't know about the bios settings... somehow I think that where they are they are stuck unless you physically change the plugs. But, I could most definitely be wrong :-) GOod luck!
