D900T PHANTOM. We should start shipping D900T around Nov 8 - formal launch on nVidia go 6800."
So that´s the reason - a publicity ban of nvidia --- this is a joke -- just a formal thing --- baahh --- what did nvidia think as they did that -- we could have them even today ---- anyway -- One more month and one more week ---
After reading this post, I too E-mailed Eurocom to confirm this and to ask about ATI's upgradeable graphics modules. Here is the response I got. (Notice my E-mail says Nov. 18th as opposed to the 8th, has it been pushed back again or is this just a typo? Guess we will know soon enough.)
"The release of the Phantom is being delayed due to the release date of nVidia's new card. By contract, we can not release before nVidia's Nov 18th schedule. ATI will not have their card ready for release until approximately January/05.
You have to wonder why ATI would wait until January when a few weeks earlier would land them right in the middle of the Christmas shopping season.
The saddest part of all of this is that we are all pawns of the graphics companies because we cannot purchase new technologies even when they are (probably) fully developed.
