couldnt type euro before using alt-gr but all i had to do was change my keybaord to us international and then restart my computer and it finally worked!
i think someone before mentioned to look at the language seting but i was too stubborn cuz i thought he meant changing the language from us english to another language altogether...didnt knwo there were diff us english versions...anyway, prob solved!
