Mouse Issues..

Thread Starter
I just got my brand-new laptop today

It's the sweetest computer I've ever seen/used. Blazing fast and brand-spankin' new! So much fun to use .
Anyway.. I use my MX510 Logitech Mouse with it, and I installed the MouseWare 9.80 drivers for it today. Now, I can't change any of the button assignments for my MX510 because the mouse setup doesn't show up anywhere. Whenever I get to mouse options it only shows the button setup for the TOUCHPAD. I know I installed the drivers, as when I open the mouse settings window it says MouseWare and shows a picture of the MX510 and everything.
Does anyone have this problem? I'm working on installing SnagIT.. I'll post screens if this isn't clear enough.

Thanks

PS
I copy&pasted this from DSLR.net.. hence the screenie mention.. but I'm not allowed to post attachments here, dunno why

*EDIT*
Here are the pics:

Well.. I'm using the drivers and I want to custom-set the keys.. . It's not possible!

I know about the BBCode [img] tags.. but they're useless when I don't have any place to upload the pics to!

ja... their server been pretty wacky today...

i like how they automatically reduce ur pics so they fit inside 250k, instead of rejecting them

u should be able to assign the buttons by clicking the Device Setup button in the dialog in the very first screenshot

Are you using it as a usb mouse or a ps/2 mouse? When I first plugged in my mx510 as a ps/2 mouse, I had the same problems, so I just started using it as a usb mouse... now it's all fine. Maybe that's it?
