To Asus: More "Ensemble" models based on Apple Powerbook chassis please...

Thread Starter
The W1N is a good start but are there plans for more WinTel laptops using other Apple iBook/PowerBook chassis? They kick-ass and that level of egronomic design/coolness factor is missing in the PC world.

Sorry, Alienware, VoodooPc, Hypersonic, etc - close but not quite up to this level... I'd definitely get one if they came with better hardware and are more servicable compared to the current "Ensemble" line.

So how about it?

Edit: er, posted in the wrong forum - can someone move this to "Notebook General"?

i like the w1n but it would be so perfect with

1.8GHz, 1GB Ram PC3200, Radeon 9800pro 256MB, wifi and bluetooth

you can actually get it with everything minus the MR9800. i think it's too heavy for a laptop of its specs

I totally agree, my girlfriend has a 15" powerbook and I'm totally jealous of the looks of the thing, but I need windows due to the massive non-proliferation of games for the mac as well as the lack of support for them in the engineering department at GVSU, wtf.

I was considering buying the asus w1n when they were at newegg.com, but I decided to wait and get something with a faster hard drive, more memory, and a better video card.

If they offered the w1n or something else in it's clothes with a dothan, ati 9700/9800, and a hitachi 7k60 I would have definitally spent the extra to get that. If they do soon, I might even consider swaping my hypersonic cx5 for one. A definite plus would be backlit keys!
