5660 Service Manual

Thread Starter
Hi,

About 6 months ago, I downloaded (on another computer) the service manual for the 5660 (Clevo 5600D not P). I have since misplaced it and am now in dire need of it, because Clevo has taken it off their website.

The manual now available on the Clevo website is the user manual not the service manual.

I was wondering whether there is anybody out there - like myself - that managed to download the service manual before it was taken off the site. And whether they would be willing to send me it via a CD I send them, or msn messenger file transfer, anything etc.

If there is anybody, would they please PM me.

Cheers
Jimmy

Look at the first post in this forum. The manual is for a few 56xx series.

No that manual is for the clevo model 5600P

not 5600D.

In other words 5680/90s are totally different from 5660/70s except for the general chassis design.

Totally new chipset, totally new layout, and in the 5680 the CMOS battery is right under the keyboard, unlike the 5660

thanks

for the link for the 5660D SM. I'll need to R&R the LCD back panel module cause of big stress cracks. At least it went for 2 years without developing cracks.

Thanks! I was looking all over for that manual when I did my crack repair/mod.

Hinges are strong as steel now!

Put a tutorial online for any interested

cheers bsmith for the 5600D Manual, before now its been impossible to find.

Mmarkin has the 5600P Manual i think on his site, which is the service manual on the sticky thread at the top of this tech support forum.

Mmarkin has a reliable site hosting that manual, his site i believe, and if bsmith's site is only temporary it might be cool if mmarkin could grab it and host it more permanently cuz i kno these SMs are pretty useful things.

Guys, I posted the zipped pdf Jimmy gave me. Its in the 5680 service manual thread (its in progress of getting renamed). So I guess BSmith might want to remove his links if theres not much bandwidth left.

It's not that. My users on the webserver might start complaining if they god forbit they had to share the bandwidth. I own the server and pipe I just don't want the natives to complain.
