whats the deal with omega drivers? i heard theres a virus attached to downloads..

hey guys..I just got my laptop a while ago and i wanted to download all the latest drivers and what not..but I don't know what i need..and to be honest..i don't know what they all do..all i know is that you guys all installed them and that you say it helps your performance on certain games..but i read on this other post that someone found viruses attached to the downloads..can i just get rid of them afterwards or what? i'm just kinda sketchy about getting near stuff thats infected already..and whats with the catalyst 4.9? i hear sp2 is garbage so i'm probably not gonna install that..but yea..help me out guys..i wanna make sure i know what i'm doing..there seems to be a good amount of info on here..and a lot of you guys seem to know what you're doing..so thats cool..well thanks..

i have the omega drivers installed and never noticed bugs or virusses, just download from the original omega's website

just go to Dell.com and go to support, then downloads. Put in your service tag number and select from the list the drivers that you want. As to the omega drivers having viri in them, that is just a load of crap. I have the latest virus deff's and none of the drivers I have downloaded have any viruses or trojan's in them.

No viruses here... and I've been using them for over a year, not a one.

That post you saw was a joke made up by the guy over at DNA drivers and he says so at the end of the article. There are no viruses in the Omega drivers.
