QuickSnap covers

Thread Starter
This is probably the most ridiculous question that will ever grace this forum, but I'm wondering about the QuickSnap covers for Inspiron 9100. The XPS QuickSnaps look a bit goofy. Are the 9100 covers any cooler? Anyone got burlwood or graphite swirl? Do they actually look cool or are they goofy?

They are good. See FAQ please.

I have the Graphite Swirl, which I think looks pretty cool, but I'm told otherwise by wife.

According to her these quicksnaps are for gadget-junkies. (Apparantly, I'm one).

I'd much rather have one of the XPS quicksnaps but they seem very difficult to get. They do, however, stand out a lot more than the standard 9100 quicksnaps and make an (albeit ambiguous?) statement in the office.

If I'm going to look like a techno-nerd, might as well go all the way..... so if anyone has a spare XPS quicksnap they want to sell......?

For what it's worth

When I FIRST spec'd out my 9100, I included a quicksnap cover. However, once it came time to fill out my order, I couldn't bring myself to pay extra $$ (40?) just for a colored piece of plastic.

Rock on,

Bamboo is betta..

Are the 9100 the same as the 8500? Can I just pick up a bamboo for the 8500 and slap it on my 9100?

Anyone wanna trade an unused "Skullz" for one of those black and red XPS covers? (Cipher is it?) ;0)

Ciper / Skulls Trade

I'll trade you my cipher for your skulls, but the cipher isn't the red & black one.

Oops, sorry, it's the Plasma one that I want, sorry. :0P

Alcatraz Plasma is the red one.

I really like the metal look of the XPS without one, but my wife strongly prefers the look of the plasma.

I'd sell it but there's a possibility I'll be sending the unit back.

Quicksnap Frustrations

I ordered the Bamboo one with my i9100 and it was already on it. I ever so slightly bent the LCD CASING trying to take that ugly thing off. And YES I did follow the "Easy Quicksnap" instructions!!! It's not so quick, and it's not so friggin' easy either!!

Now I stare at the bent casing, although no one can notice but me. Anyways I plan on selling my Bamboo cover on eBay and try to get a graphite swirl one...but I do like the plain back of the i9100. The thing is, I want to put stickers on my lappie for individualism, but I don't want to put them on the lappie ITSELF.

Anyways...Bamboo looks like puke IMHO.

Little. Try looking for static stickers. They can easily be removed if that was your concern.

No I also like the Graphite Swirl quicksnap cover. I want to try and protect the original if I can, even if I don't put stickers on it.

Also - I'm looking to put stickers I already have on it (feminist, political, social) stickers, not just any stickers. But now that you mention it - what are static stickers?!

Static stickers do not use a glue adhesive. They stick by utilizing static electricity. They can be peeled off and re-applied over and over.

links to a good static sticker site?

I thought thats what you meant but I'm not interested in those. They are limited in avaliablility and I want to put the stickers I have on up. But thank you.

No problem. I agree they are hard to find. Hulk check out E-bay for static decals
