I have that 2.0GHz dothan 755 chip your all talking about, up to about 1 month ago mine was the fastest of the M, now there is a 2.1GHz. Next year the Intel somoma will be head to head in competion with the the new chip consortium consisting of Toshiba, IBM to name 2 that are aiming to take a few customers away from Intel. What this means is heated battle is looming in 2005 and the winners will be us, as it stands Dell is still using Intel chipsets. So if my 2.0 M will not stand up to the sonoma, I may use my machine for a while but I want better service than Dells too big head, if IBM(International Business Machines) or Toshibsa have a more pleasant experience, I may sell my nearly $3,600 machine and go for some peace and quiet while upgrading to Toshibas new HD-DVD that like blu-ray used a blue violet laser with a shorter wavelength and their new chip.
It depends on whether Dell's machine can weather out the coming year, and how many times I have to call their rotten in schooling representatives let alone courteousness they have *yet* to show me.
