Did you want a wireless card with that?

Check comparables to see if it is a good deal or not. For example, Discount Laptops in the US sells that unit with a 735 (1.7GB), wireless card, and 2 year warranty for $1785 cash US.

As far as I know it has the Internal IntelPRO 2200 Wireless Ethernet/Lan (802.11 b+g) built in

on those notebooks they are not built in...you have to add it as a separate part, maybe they included it in the price but they did not list it there

If you don't mind I am curious as to how much you paid for yours ??
when i bought mine it was $2099.99 + 15% tax = 2414.99

I got it with minimum specs...i couldn't afford anything better :S

I was gonna get a CL56 at first, but the Asus won me over with it's multimedia features.

From Asus website:
"The convenient multimedia keys allow you to easily control the multimedia player, which supports CD, MP3, DVD and VCD, while the unique Audio DJ feature enables users to enjoy their favorite music without booting system. On top of that, the M6000N comes equipped with four-way surround sound speakers to for excellent home entertainment."

2600CND is about 1800-1900US, so no it's not worth it.

that setup is worth about 1900CND

Yeah, unfortunately we here in canada can't help the raping taxes that make computer parts that much more expensive. Here are some sites that I've found in my search for the M6BNe

www.memoryexpress.com (Calgary, a bit on the expensive side though, and I dunno if they ship)
www.anitec.ca (vancouver, good price)
http://www.sigmawave.com/eng/laptop.htm (Montreal, also not bad prices)
www.canadasys.com (they don't list their prices by part, so you prolly gotta call)

All the above except canadasys let you configure your lappy and see the price, etc... hope this helps...

yeah yeah we suck(in terms of our Canadian Dollar) . But if that notebook was purchased in the US, we would be paying roughly the same amount to get it to our doors

AHHHHHHHh the joys of living in the frozen north that is CANADA !!!!!! Yes thats the catch.....I am about an hour away from calgary. The quote above was from www.memoryexpress.com, And yes I figured out that it does not include the intel wireless 2200 so I have to add another $90 for that, bringing the total without tax to 2559.65. I just visited anitec.ca and i can get the exact same setup from them for $2316.95. Might have to put in a call to memory express and see if they would be willing to match it, and or at least bring their price a bit closer. Thanks for all the tips

Hey, if memoryexpress matches you a price lemme know, I may need to do the same...

I talked on the phone with the folks at www.memoryexpress.com and they said they would most likely be able to match the prices. I am going into Calgary tommorow, and will let everyone know what they say when I am actually in store
