Radeon Mobility 9000 update

I just purchased the sims 2 and when I go to play it the game freezes... I'm running Radeon Mobility 9000s, I've downloaded an update for the driver but when it begins to install there's an error.
1st i get a box that says Severe
->INF error
Video driver not found
2nd box i get says Severe
->Setup was unable to complete the install
Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA
driver before runnings setup.
Can anyone help me setup a VGA driver an help me through this setup..?

You probably tried using ATI's official Catalyst Drivers, which don't support Mobility cards. Try downloading a set of modded drivers that support Mobility cards. The best IMHO are the Omega Drivers.
