I bought the 1714 almost 4 weeks ago and am very pleased with it. The graphics from the nvidia go5700 are more than adequate for my needs, UT2004, Pro Evo 3 and a few others.
My desktop runs an Ati 9600pro and i get better results from the 1714. 3d2001 score is just over 12000 and i've only just started clocking the graphics!
As has been pointed out this machine is a heavy beast, but i bought it to replace my desktop and it will only leave the house to go a friends or to work when i'm working nights.
The display is excellent, nice sharp visuals and excellent response on gaming.
