The "P" button on the sentia

What exactly does the "P" button do that's next to the power button on the upper right corner of the laptop? I dont see any documentation about it.

it also why its running in windows starts speedstep..
they way i found this out.. i was running some highly processor usage apps,and it slowed WAYYYYY down
