WOOT!

Those 6255 drivers are nice!

I went from 7017 3dmarks to 7144 3dmarks!

Go Sager!

Score 7027

5660 2.53ghz
default drivers.

It's funny because that was my first score, and when I went back and ended some of my background programs and ran 3dmark again my score was lower. Figure that one out.

7128 3d mark score w/o the latest drivers
post #28 of 61

Great from the get go!

It took me two weeks to get my friend with the cable modem to down load the 39.9 MB setup file, it would have been quicker if I would have just downloaded it myself with the 56k, but anyway straight out the box I loaded WIN98SE and all the drivers IAW the 5660 user manual.

Here is my setup:

-WIN98SE
-P4 /2.4GB
-256 MB DDR
-ATI 9000 64 MB (default settings for video card)
-1280x1024, color 32bpp

Score:
7051

Using catalyst 3.2 drivers.

-edit-

Oh, this is at clock speed at 258 and mem at 180

I'm going to try Rage 3D overclocker, but probably not more than 270.

Wow!!!

That is a good score!!!

No overclocking? what were your driver and display settings?? You didnt cheat by setting everything to performance did ya ?

Hee hee

No, the bar is actually set between 'balance' and 'quality'.

9,376 on Dell 8500

Now i'm wondering what the new sagers will do, but you are all getting around 7000, cnet claims that the Dell 8500 with GeForce4 4200 Go will score around 9,376. Seems like there's just a little bit of a difference there.

Cnet review of Dell 8500

Just something to think about

thats rather obvious...

The M9 is on its last lap really...on its way out...being shown the door...

In another 2 months it will be relegated to the backdoor like the Radeon 7500.

The M10 will score in excess of 11000 I think...Dell will not stand a chance with the 800Mhz, DualDDR, M10 beast...
Haha we can only hope, but how much more will these new and improved laptops cost?
I'm guessing 200 to 300 more?

But of course, that's a guess.
guess I'll add mine:
sager 5660

7607 (slight overclock )

If it is all ati claims, it sould be around 15k. Compare it to a desktop 3gig with 9600 which get 15k easy in 3d2k1 benchmark.
