I have to agree. I got mine today. First off, shipping and customer service over at Shinza was terrible. Secondly, the sleeve itself isn't bad. But for the price I paid for it, I was expecting something much better. The construction seems a bit cheap, and I have to think about the fact that, for a comparable price, I could have bought a leather messenger for my laptop, which, would probably offer better protection and provide a longer lasting product to bring around.
Most worrisome is the zipper, which is plastic and ressembles the zippers you'd find on any cheap backpack. This goes with the problem that if your laptop fits the sleeve like a glove, I would imagine that there would be a few cases where the zipper will pop and you'd be left with a sleeve, and a broken plastic zipper.
I expected the material to be thicker, and though the material seems 'cool' and does seem to offer some sort of protection against scratches and the like, I can't see my laptop being too well protected.
But like I said. It's not a bad product, it's just that for almost $50 shipped (Canadian), I would not reccomend it, unless you really need a sleeve, instead of say, a laptop backpack, or messenger bag. Perhaps for $15-20 cheaper, I'd be more willing to accept its shortcomings.
