Do you guys have any notebook optical mice? I ordered the logitech notebook mouse with the usb mini reciver and i when i got to but it in my computer this a side with a connect button on it wich is the top and there is the other side well .. i have to turn the thing over so the connect button is on bottom wich does me no good because i cant reach the button... i am wondering if my usb ports our upside down because i tried it on all usb ports and they all were making it turn over ... then i tried it on a dell and it went in the correct way ... So I dont think the logitech reciever is incorrect .... is the way everyones is or is my weird ????

Just break the computer completely down. Remove everything from the mobo. Then take the mobo out. De-Solder the USB ports, flip them over, then resolder them using small patch wires. Rebuild the laptop, and there you go.

LOL - yeah, that'd be a productive way to screw your warranty.

I doubt it would even work.

the next question was this a design error or did they intend for this

You can be guaranteed it's not a design error. The design process is very in depth, with tons of people combing over the desing before it's actually approved for manufacturing. There's a reason for everything, even though it may not be apparent to someone outside of the design team.

It's pretty well know that Clevo's ports are upside down, for the most part. The firewire port is the only one I see on my 5680 that isn't upside down (other than audio )

well.... hmm... you can't really expect much from the people that drives on the left side of the roads....

is it the USB wireless mouse for notebooks? You don't need to press the connect button--at least I never do. I just plug it in, turn on the mouse and it's good to go.

I think it comes from the mother board, which uses both side for his compenents...
some USB are on one face of the motherboard(on the top side), some are under...and so the USB is reversed.
