Can USB2 tv tuners work with digital cable!?

I was interested in a notebook usb tv tuner solution. I have comcast digital cable...can this be used with the usb tuners out there? I wouldn't be running it out of my digital cable box--just straight from the wall jack coaxial cable. Does that make sense?

No. It will not be able to decode the digital channels. But it will still be able to receive the analog channels. AFAIK, some of the channels of digital cable are still analog. Only those at the high end of the frequency spectrum are digital.
