Hi I bought an sager 4750 and the fans are so loud and it has an amd 3400+ But I was looking at ibuypower.com and I saw an 15.4 inch 3400+ notebook and I was wondering will the fans be lower!!. I was hopeing that the fans wont turn on when doing simple tasks such as going on the internet, word, excel and some simple games such as solitare. And how loud will the fans turn on when playing games will it be pretty silent I am hoping that because I love 64 bit but the 4750 is too loud!! And does anyone know when the 90nm amd 64 bit chips are coming to a notebook near me! Also one the pentium 4 get pci-express will the centrinos get it if not will it be a 9800 mobility card or something like that and same with the amd 64 athlons for notebooks thanks very curious!!

The fans will always be on with a CPU like that. There is no way around it. Look to a Centrino laptop for less vaccuum effect.

Well as for loud, my emachines isn't bad, but its only a 3200. Now if it clocks itself right, it also shouldn't go on during simple tasks...

the problem is that you have a DTR verison of AMD Ahtlon 64. You should get the mobile verison, which most notebooks(mitac 8355, etc) uses. I think the Emachines and the Mitac 8355 are currently the quiet ones out there.

Why do you end all sentences with single or double exclamation marks!! It just looks ridiculous, especially when you're asking a question and not using a question mark!!
