Mobile Radeon 9600 help

Thread Starter
I have the compaq r3000 with the radeon 9600 using Suse 9.1 pro. I installed the desktop linux drivers from the ati site and ran fglxconfig or somethin like that. This all worked great and I now have the 3d accerleration . However my problems occurs when using some games. When i run tuxracers, the speed is great except the graphics are a little messed up. Its like i have white bars shooting around. So then i opened up BZFlag (game), and the graphics are great in the game but on the menu they are a little distorted.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Have you noticed any problems while doing other work? Sounds like this is a heat problem. Is the screen messed up the entire time you're playing or just after a while?

tuxracer fix

go to your home director, set ur view to see hidden files and their should be a .tuxracer open the config file and there will be a setting for screen resolution and fps. Adjust these to match your monitor and you should be fine. Sorry I cannot give you the exacts but I'm on my wifes computer.
