UNUSED place in sager 88XX ?

hello guys .. i have a question .. look on your sager 88xx in the right top corner of it's body .. near the Power button there is a tiny square about 10 mm X 10 mm size - i think it is a place for Something .. dont u think? maybe u know for what .. i'm wondering about the fingerprint reader in this place ;P

if anyone knows ;] plz tell ;]

its for a fingerprint scanner... the department of defense uses a scanner on its laptops

Considering there's now another new thread saying that there's a USB 1.1 port under that square, it would stand to reason that it is for a fingerprint scanner or something similar. I know Win2k and WinXP have software built in to use things of that nature, so it would be a really REALLY good guess even if he didn't KNOW...

Just me $.02.

Ditto confirm. It was for a possible future enhancement that never materialized. Been threads on it since the 8887 was out.

Yep.... no one ever found the USB connection noder mentions in his other thread on this, so I'm wondering if something on the 8890 is different than the 888x's.
