I want to disable the 888x touchpad, which is detected as a ps/2 mouse, although i have disbled it on the bios, it disables it on everything but windows, and i cant disable it from windows, can anyone suggest something?
I haven't tried it, but check some of the following:
1. In Control Panel\Mouse\Device Settings highlight Synaptics Touchpad and click Disable. (This may only disable the Touchpad drivers.)
2. In Device Manager (rt-click My Computer, click Properties, Hardware, Device Manager) select Mice and other pointing devices. Select synaptics, rt-click, click Uninstall (or click Properties and click Uninstall). Again, this may just disable the Touchpad drivers and not the plain vanilla touchpad itself.
I cannot install the synaptics software because the reason i want to disable it is because i want to use the intellipoint software of my wirelles mouse explorer (why beats the crap out of the mx700 mind you ), sadly the software conflicts with the touchpad, not allowing me to use all the mouse potential, what i want to do is virtually disconnect the touchpad (and no, windows device manager does not allow me to disable it)
