Sentia in 2005...

I plan on getting my laptop in about April 2005... since the 'new' Pentium M will be out then is it possible for the Sentia to have a better Graphic Card Option than the Integrated one? What about that nVidia MXM Technology I got all hyped about that happens to be "old" news? Is it possible for that to come to an 'updated' version of the Sentia?

The Sentia is not designed for gaming. Therefore we will probably not see anything more than an on-board type of power GPU. When you add a beafy video card, you eat up lots of battery life.

You should be looking at the A51m for gaming. The sentia is for the business traveler/student that needs internet, DVD viewing and Office aps.

Yeah, but I am only really into a few games, none of which are graphically intense. But I would be using the Sentia mostly for school, music, web surfing... all that good stuff

I'm getting the feeling that the new Intel chips- Sonoma, I think- have been delayed again and may not make it to OEMs until Summer 2005.

I've been playing "Kohan II: Kings of War" and "Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War" with no problems on my Sentia 12.1"/2GB RAM/Intel 755 Chip (2Ghz).

http://www.intel.com/pressroom/archi...0908corp_b.htm

This press release by intel says

"Available early next year, Sonoma will deliver Intel's best solution for entertainment on-the-go in notebooks and adheres to the company's IntelĀ® Stable Image Platform Program, designed to help corporations manage their computer software image transitions."

And the Press release is dated Sept. 8, 2004
