ATI TV Wonder issues

I've been having a problem with my ATi TV Wonder Pro tuner with the Hyper-Threading and I heard Microsoft has a fix for it on their Windows XP SP2. Is there any way to get it besides installing SP2? I tried the contact us option but since my PC's an OEM, I can't contact Microsoft technical support for a specific fix.

You could disable hyperthreading until the situation is resolved. It's an option in the BIOS.

I think the situation has been resolved since it's incorporated into Windows XP SP2. But I heard that SP2 is not too good, so I'm going to delay updating XP. But Microsoft also said that there was a download for SP1 for this but you have to contact Microsoft tech support. Has anyone done this?
