I have had the 8887V, p4/3.06ghz, 1gb ram, 60gb 5400 rpm hd, mp3, 128mb mem, port replicator, windows xp pro, for about 2 weeks now and have noticed a persistent problem occuring when disconnecting from the port replicator and using the laptop standalone. Diconnected from the port replicator the boot up process takes more than 3 minutes to complete. It almost seems like the computer locks up between the splash screen and the login window, but eventually the login screen appears. Once I boot up all seems to be working normal. When I reconnect to the port replicator Windows boots up much quicker but I find that I have to either reinstall a drivers for the port replicator or one of the peripherals attached to it. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?
