I think your 2600 score is fine. It is just maybe and I am guessing here how your computer is set up like what services you have going and stuff like that. But a score of +- 100 is ok methinks. My 2 cents

I just talked to patje and he says he will try to get us something asap to hold us off until his next release... just wait a bit and he will help us.

Does everyone else getting 2700ish have their OpenGL and D3d stuff set to High Performance? I didn't think I should have to do this for that bad of a score.

although alot of people may disagree with me, i would have to say that game test 1 "Return to the Proxycon" looks pretty crap for what it is, i mean it completely rapes that mR9800 and all it can render is that pile of crap!!..i do realize that it doesnt look bad, but for what it requires I would have thought that it would look better, some of the test in 3Dmark03 altough required alot "ALOT" less it looked just about the same to me if not better.

+ Whackamac what software did u use to overclock ur GPU??
holy smokes, only 2401 here Guess I'll try that again with a few things different that is normal clocking to

k, just tried again, oc'd to 430/330 and got 2892. But still, how the heck are some of you topping 3200? sheesh.

Man I can't wait for the updated drivers to come out. -.-

Well area51 I dont know the details of the engine used in 3dmark05 but I figure it is a lot more complex than the previous rendition since it is all new and has more shadow stuff etc etc etc. It is basically doom 3 on steroids...which is pretty much what the nextgen engines are going to be. The reason most prob why we get such a bad perf is because the battle rendered prob is pushing a sh**load more polygons and shader intensive etc etc. Doom 3 is runnable because it is a 4 year old engine if u think about it. This is a brand new engine and it is designed to be a lot harder on your system to just I think give an idea to the end user what to expect. I disagree though with you with respect to the Battle scene hah I loved it!!! Niiiiice! I mean the movements were very real, there was all that huge space to render and the effects and sparks..machinery in the background. The characters seemed to me to be a lot higher in poly count...and so was the rest of the environment and all those lighting effects. All in all pretty cool. I am thinking of getting a key so I can unlock the remaining tests. I want to see more numbers!!

Well i realllly expected someone to say this as response, and i do realize why this is going slower and is more power starving than doom3, but i just expected it to be better, which im sure it will when better companies such as Id or Valve create their new engines. As for the movement of the charactors, that not REALLY based on the engine(Although i do realize it is related), thats more got to do with the motion capture, which i think games such as Onimusha 3 from Capcom have done a much more realastic motion capture than the test*Personal Opinion*.
But on the other hand the 3rd test if im not mistaking (the one with that fairy going in and out of woods) that looks absolutely AMAZING. + I know that it uses that same engine as the war scene, but the engine was put to a way better use in this test .

New Drivers!

Omega has put out updated drivers based on the beta drivers from ATI! He also has talked about the video playback problem. He seems to think it's a bug in the bios, as Some Sager users have gotten a bios upgrade and that has fixed the issue. I hope, that if this is the problem, that Dell is quick to respond, but I know they won't be. -.-

Still it should be higher then this. Especially with the numbers that whackamac was getting, in the 3800-3900 range. The BIG problem I'm noticing, is consistency. I run the test multiple times and get strangely varying numbers, usually almost to 500 points apart. Odd.

Sorry to be picky, but could you tell us your overclocking settings rather then just saying low, med, high, etc? I'd like to know so I can try them myself as well. :0)
oh ..okay here it goes. Ill just mention the Med and High.
What I considered as medium and got "2983" = 411/324
What I considered as high and got "3299" = 438/337
