You're welcome Draw Glad you like it! I get to repay you for that excellent DFX program that you started the thread for. Sagers are the best computers but they need great software too.
On a side-note, Just out of curiosity are your initials MJG?
Cheers

3. How was I insulting you when I complimented your quote, stated I used it myself and affirmed that more people should heed the warning including myself?
My bad. You see, I was assuming you were implying that the quote applies to myself and my post. It was there that I took offence. Again, apologies for the misinterpretation.

I know that you guys probably have dozens of 5-star programs you could contribute to this thread; mind sharing some of them?
I've decided to extend this thread to include great software contributed by and for Sager lovers; did you notice the name change? I'm even giving gmail invitations to the best contributors!
Cheers

so dr feeling good

If I'm writing a legal document and I have to repeatedly cite like 5 cases with long citations your saying that yankeeclipper will save all of these copied citations so that I can just plop them in when I need them?

But is it a real bother to choose the thing you want to paste, or do they have a handy dandy mechanism for it?

Yes Waddi, it does have a really handy and simple way to paste those citations. All you do is cut/copy all/any of the citations and then you can use the regular paste method for the last citation cut/copied or use the shoot option for any of the other citations.
The shoot mechanism is in the top right portion of the program's toolbar. You simply highlight the citation you which to paste, click the shoot button, click the cursor on the section of the document that you wish to paste to and the shoot mechanism will perform an approximately three second delayed paste. It's really simple and straight forward enough that you'll be using it like a pro as soon as you get it installed.
I hope that you enjoy the program and maybe even share one of your favorite programs with the rest of us! Feel free to post any such programs or any other questions you may have and remember, members who contribute the best programs get a gmail invitation.
Cheers

Sure is, as a matter of fact it's my favorite IM program! Why don't you explain some of its highlights for those who haven't used it.

Basically, you can assign keyboard shortcuts that use the Windows key.

For example, Windows XP already has the following shortcuts:
- Windows+E: Windows Explorer
- Windows+M: Minimize All
- Windows+Shift+M: Undo Minimize All
- Windows+D: Desktop
- Windows+F: Windows Find

Basically, WinKey allows you to add on that.

For example, I've added the following:
- Windows+Shift+C: Command Prompt
- Windows+Ctrl+C: Calculator
- Windows+Ctrl+P: Process Explorer
- Windows+1 ~ 0: Drives C through L

And you can add more interesting ones if you want.

I take it as a compliment Pyrobob.
I think that's the way forums work best: teaching without flaming while trying to learn something yourself!
By the way, it's obvious you're crazy about me; why else would you have stayed with this thread for all this time.

Gerryf

Outstanding Gerryf!
I even use most of them myself.
However, I can't believe that you left out Firefox and Thunderbird. Please tell me you were in a hurry and just forgot them.

Startup Inspector For Windows

Another free 5-Star program that is on my must have list is Startup Inspector For Windows which makes eliminating unwanted programs/malware that load with windows and drain resources a breeze. “Work smarter not harder,” really applies to this program.
When you start this program you are welcomed with a very easy to understand and self explanatory user interface ( UI ) which intuitively has already listed all of the programs that load with windows including all of the programs’ relevant information such as name, location, memory usage, size and so on.
The next thing that you’ll notice is the consult button in the upper left-hand corner. By clicking on this button while connected to the internet, the program loads all of the pertinent information that it contains in its vast database which not only includes what the program is but also whether it is considered to be unknown, not recommended, not required, user’s choice or system required.
The next step is to uncheck the programs which you wish to disable on startup. Although this is usually extremely simple, I suppose that the unknown classification is there for a reason. Thus, due diligence is recommended before disabling one of these programs although the program also contains a save option which will undo any changes you have made. Backups and further research options are listed under the More Tasks button in the right-hand section of the UI and I highly recommend using them!
The last step, the implementation of your changes, also gives you many options. You can set the revised startup menu to run once and then revert to original, apply the changes without deleting the exe files or make the changes permanent which deletes the aforementioned files. Once again I recommend making use of these safeguards as well!
In conclusion, I couldn’t help wanting to give this program a 6-Star rating but will have to settle for a 5-Star one. It makes a job that used to be extremely tedious and time consuming seem like a morning walk in the park. It has features and a UI that one would only expect on an expensive piece of software; yet, it too is free!!! Subsequently, Startup Inspector For Windows makes my short list of 5-star must have programs.
