abf, he is having problems with the drive. for some reason it didn't open (only using the emergency hole). He bought another one (same LiteOn model), but it didn't work either. Same problem. So, i think he has another problem (connectors, motherboards, who knows), not at the drive.

i know his problem...he IMed me and i told him to send it back before the 30 days are up maybe for an exchange or return if not just a repair. From what I know their service isn';t that bad. A little slow so it might be another month before you get a working lappy, but at least it will be in good shape.

yes, i think he has until oct. 7 to return it...

i told him to send it back, too. To repair. But I don't know anything about IBP's quality, so I told him as a general situation....

I returned mine because they are idiots.

-They also took like 2+ weeks after recieving it to credit my account, after I was told for a week and a half I would be credited "tomarrow."

sorry I'm late and I'm going to hate doing this but...

I sent a laptop back to cyberpowerpc (same company?) and I ended up having to call them two weeks later to find out what had happened. They told me my laptop was trashed (I sent it back for a damaged volume control) and that the laptop was no longer under warranty. They said they wouldn't fix it and that I should call them back later. I ended up disputing the charge with my cc company, all the while cyberpowerwanted nothing to do with me, I think they wanted to keep my money and my laptop leaving me with nothing.

did you get anything back?
Nope, never even got a call back, though I did get to keep the stuff I didn't send with my 8355 like the battery, carry case, power adapter etc.
so you paid allt hat money jsut for the extras?
uh, no, like I said I disputed the charge. And I did win the dispute. . . oddly enough cyberpowerpc never challenged it either, like they thought if they it would just go away or something.

bump help??

you shouldn't have to, they have no need for a case or the cd's or anything, and the power supply they'll have hundreds of, and if they decide to replace it they'll probably just keep the parts you didn't send back, if not then you'll have two sets
post #17 of 28
I dont know about that, I had to have my mitac 8050 fixed/replaced twice so far and they needed the power supply. Call and find out.
