i got my new aw area 51m 7700 yesterday. The factory tested it in 3dmark 05' and the score was 6,449

system specs (that matter)

3.6p4
512mb ram (upgraded to 2x1g sticks today *before test*)
7800 GTX
60g 7200rpm hd (Hitachi)
xp pro

doom 3 was 85.6fps according to the factory test

Nice system, Tdizzle!!! Between the notebook and desktop, you should be all set to do some major damage in BF2.

4 frames better than the one I got yesterday with 3.2g proc and 1g RAM

Hello,
Has anyone got past 525 core and 1.39 ram clock speeds with sli 7800 gtxs?
I think I have hit the chips limit as my cores will never get above 40C and past these specs I start to get artifacts etc ....
also, does anyone have experience with an fx chip? I am debating swapping out my 3800+ x-2 which is topping out at 2.8Ghz and getting an fx.... I know dual core is the whole new way to go, but I basically just game.... and do other minor things.

my buddies score and it beats a fx55 with sli 7800 512mbs, fx 55 was at 3100mhz and had 2 78, 512s and he got 14300.

read it n weep single core cpus

it was done using amd 4800 and 2 7800gtxs 256mb

It's the benchmark score for your new computer. If you got the m9700 with 1 graphics card, then that's the score for 3DMark05 ... it's a benchmarking program used to compare computer performance. There are quite a few threads in the Alienware notebook and review sections about 3DMark scores.
