Two Questions

1. What exactly does a repair install of Win XP Pro do?

2. When I go to some site (almost always happens on espn.com) I get the message:
Quote:
Could not create the control {AAF15A90-F3EC-4FEE-9A00-F6SB25B83D05}. Check that it has been installed on your computer and that this page correctly references it.
Now I assume this is an activex problem, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to solve it. By the way, this dialogue pops-up in Mozilla. IE displays no message but on the bottom it says page loaded with errors so I assume it is getting the same problem.

Any ideas on how to stop/solve this??

Does anyone know anything about activex????

Well if Mozilla pops up with the same error, it DEFINITELY isn't activex. IE is the only browser that supports activex, and mozilla and others will simply skip right over them. They are known to be buggy and unsecure. Go figure, it was Micro$oft's idea! I really don't know what would be causing your error otherwise, though.

I believe a Winxp restore simply recopies the windows directory and resets all your options. That way, if you accidentally damaged a critical DLL, it will be restored.
