since we cant travel at the speed of light and the universe is like billions of light years across we'll probably never know if there is any other intelligent life out there, unless they find us...
Do you really think we'll never be able to find a way to travel the distance? I'm sure the cavemen never thought we'd be living in heated, lighted, watered homes and flying to the other side of the planet in 12 hours and heating up 2 week old dead carcass in microwaves.
What are all of you guys talking about, there's no way that water could be anywhere else, I mean do you really believe that there is more carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen outside of the earth, what are the odds of that? Really people get a grip, it's impossible for anywhere else in the universe to support life without the elements necessary, and we're the only ones that have them. jk

I read somewhere that the chances of a civilization developing intergallactic travel is like 99% failure rate. I don't know how they would come up with this statistic, but it seems to make sense to me. With wars, and the development of nuclear weapons, I would imagine we wouldn't last long enough to develop intergallactic travel.
As for someones post about alien needing water etc to grow like we did bugger off looool
