I see these faster processors and just laugh. Unless you are adding something like hyperthreading there really is no realized speed difference between the processors. The only realized speed difference comes with a bus speed increase. The difference between the 2.4 and 2.8Ghz processors is that the 2.8Ghz processor can wait faster than the 2.4Ghz processor. What are they waiting on? The bus ofcourse. Buy the cheapest processor with the fastest bus and you'll get performance almost identical to a faster processor with the same bus speed. Most games really don't tax the processor anyway. You get more bang for the buck by buying a better video card, more RAM, or a faster harddrive.
