I think AMD is being ridiculously sneaky for shipping these weak-ass Athlon XP 2800+, calling them 2800+s when they should be in another category entirely.
Other than that part, I kinda like the laptop. It's extremely heavy though, and construction on the outside seems a bit cheap, with the plastic feel and all. Battery life is not all that good (about 2 hours). Right now, my Desktop Duron 950 OCed at 1150 with 384 MB PC133 SDRAM seems to be running faster, but that's probably only because of the lack of memory on this laptop. I have a feeling that once I had in a 512 MB stick or a 256 MB stick, things will really starting speeding up.
Then again, it's the cheapest laptop available locally, really, and you get what you paid for.
My biggest beef is just with that stupid stunt AMD is pulling with the chips. Really, a Barton could wipe the floor with this weird chip we have.
