i don't know how helpful i can be, but here's a theory as an answer. i know that lcd size directly effects battery life (i.e., the larger the screen the more draw on the battery). i don't believe higher resolution would adversely affect battery life as you are using the same size screen.

you might email luke or adam to see if they've tested and/or read about this, they're quick to help.

The WSXA to me, makes lighting effects more profound. How can anyone read anything on 19 x 12? Or play a game and it not lag up in crowded moments?
