S705 Pictures / Specs finally coming tonight - I Promise!

Ok tonight I will have time to post all of my pictures and summarize all of the benchmark testing I have done.

This is one last call for any particular program anyone needs benchmarked - be it a game or application or simply a benchmark program.

I will also be testing the new 5600FX Compatible 43.45 drivers.

FYI: It appears that the ONLY drivers that work for the S705 are the standard 43.36 versions - every other Nvidia driver I install does not recognize the 5600FXgo...

I noticed some people posted 'higher scores' with the new drivers for the 5600FXgo, I'd like to find out how they got the drivers to install

Note: If you look in the driver readme.txt file for the latest Nvidias you will notice that the 5600FXgo series is NOT supported....

Wierd...

Also, does anyone know of a 3rd party utility that will let me overclock any nvidia card?

I can install 3dsmax5, but Im not sure how to 'test' it.. any suggestions?

If you have a scene or model you want me to test thats fine, Ill run it through its paces.

Rin, don't know if this will help you much or even be relevant, but here's a thread about nVidia 44.03 Detonator Drivers:

The July issue of MaximumPC had a HUGE article on graphics cards in cluding how to tweek them and overclock them. Information was provided for both the ATI and NVIDIA cards....you might want to check that article.

I don't have too much to compare to, so I was just wondering on what the level of response for 3dsmax was, more of a qualitative opinion.

From what I've been reading, 3dsmax's performance is more reliant on CPU performance than graphics card performance.

Also the 44.03 drivers do not seem to work for the Toshiba.

IT seems ONLY the 43.36 driver set from Toshiba works properly - unless someone can educate me on a special installation procedure..?

Rince,

Are you kidding with those benchmark scores?
In 1024x768, NO AntiAliasing...NO MUSIC....
and its average frames per sec is only 14?????????

This has soooo made up my mind to wait for the 8890 or new AW laptop when they come with the 9600pro GPU.

I think that benchmark is about right for Nvidia GeForceFX Go5600 with only 64MB, consider it's not an Ultra version with 128MB. My desktop ATI Radeon 9600 Pro with 128MB can do it best at only 22 FPS (1024x768, 32bit, No AF). I believe with the M10P, it won't be able to make it pass 22 FPS if not worst.
