Well, im finally about to get a laptop. Now heres my problem. I want to get pretty much a desktop replacment, and battery lif is kinda a concern.

I was looking at the new centiro (PowerPro M 5:16 SUPRA) and it looks good, except the Screen can't be had in UXGA, and the radeon has 64mb of memory instead of 128. And when i was done configuring it it came out to 1905.64.

And the 5670 came to about the same. with the 2.4 in it. I will be playing games on the thing so i need to know how the centiro will hold up. The only real downside i see to the centiro is the no UXGA.

Any input will be helpful, or should i just wait for the next genration of notebooks? if so when will they be coming out?

If battery life is a concern then I would not look for a desktop replacement gaming system. All the added features use up battery life. You should go with the 5670 anyway though because it is not that much money and offers great specs.

If you're mainly going to be gaming, why does battery life really matter anyways? I'm sure you won't be gaming while on a moving vehicle, and in any case, you could always plug in an inverter if that's the case . If the primary purpose of the system is gaming, UXGA is pretty much not needed. In most of the newer games, the M9 will choke up at that resolution, or at least become visibly choppy in complex scene, so you don't really need that resolution. UXGA is great however, if you're doing a lot of CAD work.
