As a matter of fact, yes that is exactly what it seems to be.

Cheers.

i remember way back whn it was impossible for the 56xx to have 2 internal HDs... ..but look now..it is very possible..
Clevo so far are making great laptop, that everybody agrees, and they have a great power/price ratio..but clevo don t make too many types of laptops too often..they grow based on a sound structure then grow a little bit more then more..etc..etc.. somebody who brought a 8880 may eventually go up to the 8890..
clevo is gonna milk the 4670 .. a few months from now we ll see a bunch of options not availiable now..

I was really considering about getting this lappy, but then these few things are stoping me from getting it:

1. 17 in. is a really nice screen but i'd like to carry it around with me to a few of my classes and don't want this big a comp. ( not the biggest reason why I am not getting it )

2. Doesn't have the m10

3. Is only expandable up to 1024 mb ram

Actually, if this lappy came with the m10 I wouldn't hesitate one sec on ordering it !

well it may be 17" but its also VERY thin

adam, i have but one request when you guys do the review of this laptop, please take a picture of it playing a few games on the widescreen, thanks, no matter what games

Same here. This will be an almost desktop replacement for me and if the graphic 'umph' was better i'd have it right now.

When it comes to the laptops, he is usually correct but several months off. The 8600 was on his site way way before any of the resellers. I don't know how he got the photos or the details but anyway, it looked like pure rumor but as we know, the 8886 came out.
Check out his "Flight III with SuperClear" digital video editing laptop. Look familiar?

The 4760 is also available with blue tooth, which, as far as I can tell, is completely useless. If you find an actual use (not a theoretical or "future" use), please let me know!
when keyboards, mice, and other stuff like that start coming with bluetooh it will make thing a lot easier. It will be like wireless mice/keyboards but you won't have anything pluged into the usb ports. also a lot of cellular phone have blue tooth so you won't have to plug anything in if you want to connect it to you pc.

That was exactly my thought when I decided to stop waitin' and place my order. Of course, now I need to wait for it to ship ...

has anyone yet figured out why the 4760 is cheaper than a similarly equipped 8887?
if you thought about it you might understand

it doesnt have nearly as many options the 8887 has

8887-3hds and a dvd-burner
4 usb 2.0 slots and the mp3 player

then add everything the 4760 has except camera and bluetooth +Screen size

DVD burner is an option in the 4760, although you are right that it only has 3 USB 2.0 ports and space for 1 and only 1 hard drive.

Of course, it may be cheaper because it is lighter and has a smaller enter key

The screen is the same size and resolution as the 17" powerbook. The dimensions of the entire notebook are almost the same.

I am curious about how the different resolutions are handled as well. On old ATI chipsets (like the 8MB ATI Rage Mobility in my Dell Inspiron 5000), smaller resolutions can either be scaled up to native resolution, or rendered at their native resolution with a black box all around. I am hoping that the latest ATI drivers also allow this choice to be set in your display properties.

Screenshots would clear this up in a flash! (hint-hint, Adam).
