well again dell gone and confused me. as i stated earlier their site said as of yesterday(24th) it was shipped via walsh western,(got the order ship confrm email and everything) as of today 25th the site says it was shipped TODAY by UPS ?????? boggles the mind.hehe

it is supplied with a dongle thing(!) that gives you svideo out, composite video out, and digital sound out... however there is no svideo cable supplied, if you want one you need the standard 4 pin to 4 pin cable.

And I'm freaking LOVING IT!

6333 3DMarks! IT BEAT'S MY ALMOST NEW DESKTOP SYSTEM WITH A 9800PRO and Athlon64!

Keep up the good work Dell (ie. dont make anymore 9200, go for 9100 again, hehe).

Thanks for the tips in the FAQ btw, those helped lots (jpeg jagging etc in IE)

Congratulations folks, i feel like we've been through a lot together simon!!!! I've had mine 10 days now and its still rocking my world!!!! I'd just like to also add that the FAQ guide has been a fantastic resource, so thanks for that....

aye its beena heck of journey. my god im loving it so so much and yeah the FAQ has been so good, got lots of cool little things from it. now all i need is my wireless router and my new desk and ill be sorted!!!!

Wanna buy one

Hi guys,

I'm gonna buy a new I9100 too. For the following specs as a second handed I9100, how much should it cost me (in GBP)? Where I can get it in UK? I'm in Australia but my partner is in England. I can't afford for the brand new one for sure.

Inspiron 9100
Pent 4 3.4 GHz
80gb HD
2048 MB DDR SDRAM
256 ATI Mobility Radeon 9800
15.4 WUSGA+Screen
DVD/RW COMBO
Bluetooth
Wireless PC card

I've been in touch with a guy in Italy via E-bay, paid over 900 GBP and so far, I haven't got anything (3 months ago)!!!!!!

Please guide me on where I can get it cheap. Or just tell me how much it will be reasonable to get the above specs.

tbh i would stay away from laptops on ebay (cept from powersellers) as i did some digging there myself and so so many are blatant frauds. few things to look out for is the obvious low feedback. if they offer cheap buy it now but u have to mail em or if they only accept payment through bank transfer. also been quite a lot of people with fraudulant escrow schemes.

In my opinion u should only get one from ebay if they are either a Powerseller or will use www.escrow.com for full amount.

But the best bet is to just spend the bit extra on a new one. i think dell.uk still have em. and would be well worth it

Yeah but problem is if I buy it directly from Dell, this will certainly cost me more than 2500 GBP (and getting only ATI 9700, just configure it on the UK website). For the specs, I want, if it does exists in England, it probably cost me around 2700 GBP, don't you think? That excludes the 3 yr warranty.

If I buy it here in Australia, it will probably cost me about the same price. So the onyl way out for me is to buy the second handed one. If you were me, how much will you pay for the above spec (assume it's 2-3 months old)? I don't want anyone to overprice me or cheat me this time for sure.

Thank you for the advice about E-bay. Surely I'll take that into the consideration.

all valid points i know the price can seem like a heavy hit. my system in sig (with all the other little bells and whistles) cost me just a hair over 1300GBP but that is with only a one year warranty. so that plush shipping to OZ (if you can get it) and possible import tax (not sure how it works in OZ) ur probably looking around the 1500mark.

anyways best of luck to you and hope u get the system you want.
