This is only for the 4750. Use nero to burn the .ISO. I have limeted bandwith so if anyone else would like to host it that would be appreciated.

4750 Bios Updates
For some reason the Bellsouth site is messing up. If the links do not work hit refresh on the main directory page and try again.
Edit: Updated link to version 1.04 1.03 and 1.01.

BIOS Updated Sucessfully. Now I'm downloading the latest Omega's. I do not see any extra options in the BIOS.

Hopfully this fixes the DVD issue and the stuttering while the processor changes clocks.

jchank04,

Thx a lot .... appreciate it that you posted the new bios for us online

I have 2 questions though>

1 .What command should i type in order to flash the bios ?

2. Call me ignorant , but I don't know how to flash a bios with an external floppy drive ...... a step by step instruction would be cool

Again , Thx.

Just burn the ISO to a cd-rom. I used nero.

Go into your Bios and make sure that it is set to boot from the CD-Rom before the Harddrive. (F2 on Post screen on startup) Then after the reboot you will be presented with a screen asking you to confirm you have a 4750 by pressing any key to continue. Thats it. Sit back, listen to it beep a few times, and enjoy. Flahing takes about two minutes. Make sure you are pluged into the wall.

How about flashing from an External FLOPPY DRIVE ?

Can I use the same .iso file ...... or do I need a different type of file in order to flash from a floppy ?

Thx

I've got the file over on my site at www.spookymonster.com as well. I'll install it on my AX7 tonight when I get the chance.

Does this include the firmware fan fix from NP4750H8_S2?
im not sure if it includes the fan firmware or not.

I updated to the newest omega drivers, and was able to break 4k in 3dmark03 quite easily. Im pretty happy with the overall performance of the two.

I downloaded the iso and extracted two files to desktop (bootcat.bin and bootimg.bin). Am I supposed to create a cue file for each file and burn it to disc seperately as an image? Any help given will be appreciated

The easiest thing to do would be to use nero's (or another program's) "burn image to disc" feature. This will make the disc bootable. This is what I did. I do not know another way to do it but i'm sure someone else on the forums will if you cannot burn the image to disc.

*Although, if you extracted the files like you did you may just be able to burn them to disc as it seems to include the boot info. Just make sure you are set to boot from CD and not Harddrive inorder to do the flash.

thanks a lot jchanc04. Yeah I burned the rar file to image and it worked! Now I can update my omegas
post #17 of 51
has anyone had good luck with this? i upgraded the bios and my omega drivers and stiiiiiiilllllllllll have the video problem
post #18 of 51
you know what the weird thing is ...

I had the same problem ( video seemed unresolved), ... but after restarting the computer twice ---- no more problems with the new omega ( 4.10 beta ).

Doom 3 seems to run faster too

My internal Tv Tuner won't start though
other than that ---
didnt work. ive tried everything. ive completely uninstalled video drivers, ran omegadriver cleaner, reflashed bios, installed new omegas, and have restarted at least 5 times. video works if i turn off directdraw acceleration. its no different then it was.

this is some bug fix
