4750 Bios 1.03 - Page 3

The iso's are bootable, but my experience with the 1.03 bios was not good. My cpu was stuck at 833mhz, even when playing doom3 or far cry and the like. I downgraded my bios to 1.01 and everything is good. I am not having any issues what so ever. I love this thing, what a great little piece of bragging rights.

Installed!!!

Well, I went against the advice of my tech-support person (I bought my laptop through M-Tech, who contracts to Pro-Star for service), and installed BIOS 1.03. Seems to work fine, haven't noticed any problems. I'm using Speedswitch XP, and can switch the CPU speed up and down from the taskbar with no problems.

I upgraded to the Catalyst 4.10 drivers and am not seeing any of the DVD issues I had before (locking up when trying to play a video). City of Heroes still freezes up on me, but I had that issue with Catalyst 4.5 and BIOS 1.01. Doom3 plays great for hours, and I've never had any heat issues with either BIOS. All around a successful upgrade. Thanks!

Well after talking to Sager (no help at all) and trying all kinds of different combos. I finally got everything to work. This is what I had to do....

1. Install the fan firmware (found on this site posted by Adam).
2. Upgraded the system BIOS to 1.03 (which also includes the fan firmware so I have been told).
3. Boot to OS (Windows XP SP2 in this case).
5. Uninstalled the ATI Drivers.
4. Installed latest ATI drivers (Sager Drivers in this case).
5. Uninstalled and reinstalled the AMD CPU Drivers.

All the DVD playing software and the TV Turner work..... I have no idea who what where when or way but it works..... Finally!!!

I have had no problem with my videos..ALthough I am becoming suspicious that it may be something with the processor. Since changing the bios, my cpu speed reads off at 801 Mhz even with my power scheme set to Always On. Argh, this may be why some of my games which require just a little more processing speed to stutter a bit?

My wireless wasnt working after I upgraded to 1.03s1, and I am running windows xp pro. Heres a link for updated software for the "ezlink" utility and driver for the Gygabyte mini pci wireless card:

Im pretty sure you have to make a bootable cd rom with the bios on it.

If you go to the eurocom site u can download it direct from them. its listed as the 1.04 bios for the d470k. they also have a windows phlash utility that seems to work fine. used it on 2 units with no problems. definitely not as fancy as the asus windows update utility but it works and thats all that matters right??

if you boot to dos off your flash drive i don't see why it wouldn't work. just make sure you don't have any memory managers loaded or you'll corrupt the bios image as u write it.
