I put them both in then installed the latest Radeon Omega Drivers (2.5.90). So far, the video playback issue is gone and everything is running saweet. Finally!"

Can whoever who has this latest BIOS for the 5680 please mail it to me. It allegedly fixes the jerky DVD playback on Catalyst 4.6 and up.

I flashed the bios successfully and installed the latest omega (2.5.90), but the video playback problem is still here. All the other things work well, as before, but the problem is not solved, i'm very depressed...

IXIAN. Did you get it? By the way. It did NOT fix my overlay problems.

If someone can prove that these updates are completely new and fix the overlay issue, I will host them.

So, has anyone who has offered to host the bios actually received it? I think there's a fair amount of demand for it...

The latest BIOS revision does not fix the video playback issue for the 5680... but one is being worked on Sager to resolve this issue.

Uhm, you think maybe you could point us to where you got that? I emailed sager today and they sent me the V1.00.09t4 BIOS, but they say this has nothing to do with fixing the overlay problem

If not the overlay issue, I'm curious then what the V1.00.09t4 bios does fix. Is there a readme with the bios?

No, no readme.

Here's is what a readme from a Eurocom bios file for the D500P (clevo model for Sager 5680)

R1.00.032002/10/24

R1.00.062003/12/11
1. Solve Windows XP reports incorrect memory size problem.
2. Add internal WLAN information in SCU.

R1.00.072003/12/31
1. BIOS Solve “system hangs up during S3 resume” problem

R1.00.082004/03/23
1. Support the windows flash BIOS function by Phoenix WinPhlash.
2. Support Phoenix new DOS version flash utility.

R1.00.092004/05/06
1. Solve “cursor moves slowly in CMOS setup when the internal card reader is available” problem.
2. Solve “some WLAN PCMCIA cards can’t work” problem

Note, the BIOS I received from Sager is also dated 2004/05/06 so my guess is it is the same file.

I can't WAIT to receive a new BIOS from Sager that fixes the overlay problem for the 5680.
