dsl problem

ok i am having problems with a dsl hook up. i get it to connect and stuff but the problem comes when using the phone. its fine until the phone is hung up, all the sudden the dsl dissconnects and takes 30 seconds to reconnect. its so annoying in the middle of a game. we put those filter things on all the phone hookups, what could the problem be?

i've never heard of a problem like that... it may be possible that you missed a phone and forgot to put a filter on it...but the filters are used because of interference with the phones form the DSL...not the other way around...

if you have a router, you can change the redial period in your router settings for a shorter redial period...but you shouldn’t be disconnecting in the first place...

call your ISP and ask them… if you have Verizon DSL they have really good technically support...

If you had your DSL installed recently, you should call Verizon. The technician may not have done your installation correctly.

I had this problem with my dsl turned out my sister had installed the phone line incorrectly on the filfter she was on the dsl side of the plug and not the filter so I would check all the phones in the house, and make sure they have filters and properly installed.

If one phone in the house is missing a filter, the minute someone picks it up, the modem / router will lose sync.
