Can anyone who has upgraded from the 9600 to the 5700 tell me the diffrence it has made in the games you play?

I have the 9600, 3dmark03 beches in at 2600, doom 3 i get around 30 FPS on medium and 1024x780, farcry i get around 50 fps.

I'd love a comparison with the go5700 so i know if its worth purchasing or not

hmm i was hoping doom 3 would do much better with the 5700 since its a nvidia chip..do you still have 33 fps when there are alot of enemies/action on the screen?

It would help estrato...if i could buy the 9700!!

the thing that people dont know about Nvidia cards is that their best performance is at 800x600 and ATI is best at 1280x768 and higher, you can see this in all the benchmarks where similar cards from each company is compared. so if you play at high resolutions you will get better FPS with an ATI card, but i understand some people are too used to Nvidia to change, I am the same way I always had Nvidia but because I wanted my ALX faster I changed to get my ALX sooner. And since I was so worried because i was so used to Nvidia, I did alot of reading up and looked at alot of benchmarks

Heres an example of what most benchmarks looked like not real figures

Resolution (800x600) (x/x) (x/x) (1200/1600)
Nvidia (87 ) (75) (60) (54)
ATI (79) (75) (70) (67)
