Acer Ferrari 3400 - Page 3

Is one of those card slots a slot that supports CF cards?
Also, is there a laptop on the market that compares to this price/weight/battery life/power?
The only downfall is the 4200rpm hard drive.

64-bit WLAN drivers are still missing AFAIK. And the card reader dosen't support CompactFlash cards either. The only laptops that compares are the Acer Travelmate 8000 series, although not as powerful and higher price but better battery life. All Acer notebooks uses 4200RPM hard drives.

Not all of them. The 1710 didn't. It has a 7200rpm drive, I know because I just sold one.

All with a 2.5" hard drive anyway, the 1710 uses a 3.5" hard drive right?

Yes, the Aspire 1710 uses a desktop 3.5" desktop HDD.

By may there will probably be a new model available with a low-power Mobile Athlon 64 3200+ (2.2GHz) processor I guess.

Anyone use the Ferrari 3400 for EQ2? I'm trying to find a laptop that won't give me any problems running it. Never bought a computer in my life, but played eq1 on a POS and always had problems.

Is the Acer 8000 only sold in the UK?

All games so far have run fine on 3200, so I'm guessing it's the same on 3400. However no computer in existence runs EQ2 with full graphics yet
