Also, Rogueone, Verant has not existed for quite a long time, I think the last expansion SoE released under the name of Verant was Velious.
fine, fine, bust my buallz for calling them Verant still
it's not like the "people" of Verant, and the Verant culture don't permiate the SoE teams, seeing as they are mostly run by Verant's personell. I guess I just hated the way "Verant" treated my warrior, and how they would never help make him more viable whilst making Paladins just as good at tanking and the like. was always annoyed by that
I do have to say, I expect EQ2 to be the most complete game out the door of any mmorpg. But I'm not sure if their design philosphy will be any better. If the mantra is still "your in OUR world now" I don't think I'd enjoy that again.
But you know what I miss in all the new games? No ZONES with /ooc chat to everyone, and calling out lvl 8 war needs group at orcs, etc. As much as there is complaining about that, it forced interaction amoung the players, and you were forced to meet people. That in turn, I truly believe, lead to the strength of it's early community.
as much a pain as lower guk was, it was still one of the most fun places in the game. the wipeouts when a train would get loose, the extra aggro you didn't expect, all kinds of fun stuff in there
those times were fun. heck, in the end, actually dieing in a dungeon and requiring help to get it, while at times annoying, could be some of the funnest times.
but i digress. I'm with the others who said, screw SoE
I'd go back to Camelot I think before EQ2. but then again, I don't work the perfect gamer hours anymore, and have kids I have to spend time with, church activities, trying to start a new job/business, etc. Heck, I just don't have TIME to play anymore haha
