Area 51 Batt. Problems Solved

Thread Starter
If anyone with an alienware area-51m laptop is frustrated with their battery life, do what I did: visit www.batterygeek.net and email Sean about their Polarmate Lithium Battery pack with the 4-PIN ADAPTOR, which IS compatible with our laptops. I just got it and tested it doing normal activities, such as browsing the internet and listening to music, and it lasted for a solid 3.5 hours before my internal battery kicked in. This is surprising, considering the fact that I researched for hours on other external battery packs, and nothing was compatible. This battery pack is about 188$ including shipping and you'll get it in 2 days. You can't go wrong. Do it. Do it.

Anyone else sensing a little shameless advertising here?? This kind of stuff happens all the time on other forums that I post at I'd be wary of the advice from someone whose first post is basically an ad for a small company... (not that it necessarily is, just that I see it constantly on numerous forums)

there is no ad. The model number of my notebook is the 3790. But it wasnt built by sager, or have a a brand name on it. Im just saying the area 51m isnt all the mobile for a notebook :/

If I where to have advertised I would have put a companies name in. If you re-red the post I didnt mention any one brand, just a model number. Look it up on google and you can find brands if you wish.

I think they were referring to the initial post about the battery, not your post.
