The guy was a total ass most of the time. But thin again he made for some interesting arguments and mad some good points. Even though he was an ass most of the time.

I do not think that he will be missed that much or at all. I also feel you did not have to explain yourself because I do not think that you would ban someone for no good reason but thank you for doing so.

Thanks Jay It's nice to hear that from someone that understands what these forums are for and has contributed so much out of the goodness of their heart.

If you review my post, I have had good and bad things to say about Alienware, but mostly BAD. I can't help it if someone's feelings are hurt because I said something about a product they own. People rag on Dell because it's not sexy, but I don't have a tantrum. That's there opinion and when I say something bad, that's mine. You may not realize it or want to admit it, but you have turned from, "Forum Moderator" to "Company Man". If I lashed out at everyone that said something I didn't like and not even towards me, I would be in Internal Affairs daily.

I think that you just like to fight. I mean why else would you say “he went from forum mod to a company man” if it were not to start some kind of flame war? So stop being lame and go to the Dell section of this forum where you can help people with their bricks.

I think you need to give Craig the same benefit that people give you on the street. Your not permitted to show up and just start throwing around demeaning and neglectful slurs at a domestic dispute, because it is not going to difuse the situation, instead you are forced to moderate the situation, even if the other side is resorting to slurs. It's called realizing you have a responsibility to remain professional. Then again, you can throw in a little more around here.

I'm not comparing his responsibility to your job, that would be rediculous, but it should put it into perspective. Sometimes it is easier to difuse the situation just by getting rid of it all together, especially if the other party adds nothing.

This is probably the same reason you, or I, for that matter haven't been banned (my thoughts of dell are very similar to your thoughts of AW). Because you present yourself in a more educated manner, although alot may disagree, especially on this forum.

Like I said if the guy is being a jerk with senseless comments and taking stabs at everyone then his ban is justified. Based on the comment he made, I didn't think it was needed. I just don't agree with someone calling a member an "assneck", especially a mod.
If I pissed ANYONE off with my comments about Alienware of Craig, then I apologize. I just wanted to express my opinion without be labeled a Troll. I did own an Alienware 51m, so I have some knowledge of the system.

The guy was a total JERK - Astu222, I read his all of his post. He was out to bash everyone and demean them. Even thou I own couple of Dells, I don't go around bashing AW owners because they don't got a MR9800. Grow up.

I think a good part of the problem was that he went from just criticizing the AW product for the last couple weeks with no real support, which isn't exactly unheard of forums, to taking stabs at the AW staff that frequent the forum. This is unacceptable and certainly deserves getting banned in my book. Running the risk of losing the AW technical support in this forum, when they go out of their way on this forum is ludicrous. I can understand the need for debate, and as I said, I owned a dell and am somewhat critical of their product at times. I should mention, I do not view your comments as being troll like for the most part, as you indicated, you owned the AW product, and from what I've read, your comment may be critical, but are usually to the point and supported, which is the difference. I am the same with dell, I am not shy to mention what I think with the support I can provide.

Now I do not own an AW, but if I did and I saw someone taking stabs at the support who frequent here with absolutely no support in their statements, I would have been screaming to have them banned. I mean, AW-Juan, David, etc. offer this service at no cost and have resolved more issue than I can name, this is not something that, if lost, could be taken lightly.

I mean, the guy was indicating they were only on here as a CS Stunt. If they fix the problems, who cares if it is a CS stunt, they make the effort.

With this in mind, the guy was being an "@$$neck"
