can tell you me what you have here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

i have

_NoDriveTypeAuto REG_DWORD 0x00000091 (145)
NoDriveTypeAuto REG_DWORD 0x000000ff (255)

now perhaps the lower one is causing the problem? cause the top one means autorun is enabled.

shrug

well i took a chance and deleted NoDriveTypeAutoRun REG_DWORD 0x000000ff (255)

rebooted.

And now autorun works!

well i guess i figured this out myself thru trial and error

I suppose if someone else has this problem in the future they can find this thread via the search command.

Thanks!
