All of you on the fence about buying: Buy Now.

Dell Home is having the biggest "sale" that I've seen them do in a very, very, long time. Basically, you can combine all the site promotions (Mail in rebate, free hard drive upgrade, free shipping, free combo drive) with a $500 of 1499 or more coupon. You are looking at getting a $1500 8600/600m for $800.

I had planned on waiting until Sonoma was released, but getting a decked out 8600 for $1350 (originally 2050) is too good to pass up. I spec out this same system week in and week out with all the new promos, and it has never dropped below $1600.

Anyways, just giving you all a heads up.

The $500 off $1499 coupon is GPG2WX?WJRLZ11

Did it! Wow this makes me feel better about not waiting

Too bad this wasn't available for Canadians, because i would place an order for an XPS right this moment.

I was on the fence too, will soon be an 8600 owner. What a killer deal I'm guessing they are just making room for the new models, but they have to be losing money here!
i think they even give you the 200 dollar rebate also !!!
Wow, $500 off? Geezus. Oh well, atleast I got my Dell Inspiron 8600 for a "decent" price.
Depends how you spec your system but from the 5th to 7th u got 25% off...

now if you spec like me (2800 base model) the 25% was a heck of a lot more..
but then again the 200 mail in rebate is damn nice...

Expires at 3:00 central, so get on it.

damn it! so CST 3 pm means 4 PM east coast time here right? and I just configure one like mine and see if I can save money by entering that GPG2WX?WJRLZ11 code and I would have called sales rep and tell her this.. damn so I missed by like 5 minutes ? am I correct? it says invalid

No sh!t. And you'd think with the Canadian dollar becoming very strong, that Dell Canada would be able to offer some nice deals.
